Volunteer at La Fortuna Orphanage : Project Costa Rica Summer Community Service Program

Volunteer at La Fortuna Orphanage

Volunteer at La Fortuna OrphanageExperience a truly life-changing summer as you volunteer at a local orphanage, a professionally managed safe haven for infants, toddlers, and young children who have been removed from their homes due to reasons such as malnutrition and neglect. Our volunteers will conduct English classes, paint and improve the orphanage's buildings, and spend quality time playing and bonding with the children. This is a meaningful way to learn first-hand the hardships many young people in the world face, and to give back to underprivileged children growing up under challenging circumstances. Bring your energy, enthusiasm, and an open-mind and help change the life of a child!

  • Community Service participants volunteer with the same project for the length of the program, in order to form meaningful bonds with the children and staff at the orphanage.
  • Participants volunteer Monday – Friday, four hours per day, for the duration of the program, earning 60 hours of Community Service credit.
  • The goal of Project Costa Rica is not only to give back to the children at the orphanage but also for our participants to learn and grow through their experiences.
