Cultural Immersion

One of the most unique aspects of Rein Project Hawaii is our evening Cultural Immersion program taught by local Kapuna (elders). Because Hilo is such an authentic Hawaiian community, it is the perfect place for our teenagers to learn about the culture of Hawaii. Our Cultural Immersion Program offers our teenagers the opportunity to experience and participate in once-in-a-lifetime, hands-on cultural activities that will serve as treasured memories of their summer spent in Hilo.

Our cultural immersion activities include lei making, learning to dance the hula, and playing authentic Hawaiian instruments.
