Project performed in conjunction with Bloomington Parks and Recreation Department.

Help construct an outdoor classroom for local school children and seniors at The Banneker Community Center. We will help design the classroom, select local materials for building, construct benches and tables, and learn about the importance of community organization. At the end of the program we will plan a neighborhood block party, celebrating this new addition to the community.

• Community Service participants volunteer with the same project for the length of the program, in order to make a lasting impression on the Bloomington community.
• Participants volunteer Monday – Friday, four hours per day, for the three weeks of the program, earning a total of 60 hours of Community Service.
• The goal of Project Indiana Community Service is not only to give back to the community but for our participants to also learn and grow through their experiences.
