Project performed in conjunction with Bloomington Animal Care and Control.
Bloomington Animal Care maintains the missions of sheltering stray and abandoned animals, connecting lost pets with their homes, and maintaining pet adoption programs throughout the Bloomington area. Spend time socializing, feeding, cleaning, and grooming the resident dogs and cats, improving their living conditions and helping to make them more adoptable. Help to improve the lives of Bloomington’s neediest animals.
- Community Service participants volunteer with the same project for the length of the program, in order to create meaningful bonds between our volunteers and the animals they are helping.
- Participants volunteer Monday – Friday, four hours per day, for the three weeks of the program, earning a total of 60 hours of Community Service.
- The goal of Project Indiana Community Service is not only to give back to the community but for our participants to also learn and grow through their experiences.
