Rein Community Service offers summer travel programs that teach our participants that it is better to give than it is to receive. There are many ways to help: mentoring disadvantaged children, caring for abandoned animals, protecting the environment, and helping underprivileged families. Through our passion and determination, we will contribute to the global community, grow as individuals, and discover ourselves by making the world a better place through summer community service.
We are proud to provide safe and secure opportunities for community service for high school students, while also offering the best possible social experience! Our participants have the opportunity to make many close friends as we accommodate between 25 to 75 participants on our Community Service summer programs. In order to recognize the full benefits of the experience, each specific service project is limited in size, which results in an intimate work environment.
Our university and hotel accommodations allow participants to live in a comfortable, social environment. We believe that more productive work can be performed by students who are sleeping in our safe, secure, clean dormitories and hotels with enjoyable meals at university dining services and in local restaurants. To further ensure a safe experience for our participants, all transportation to and from our summer programs for teenagers is via professionally driven buses and vans.
We also offer exciting electives, cultural and local activities, and weekend travel opportunities on all of our summer community service programs! We hope you will join Rein Community Service on Project Costa Rica, Project Ecuador, Project Hawaii, Project California, Tour & Service, Project Thailand, Australia/New Zealand Adventure or Golf & Service @ Project California for a most rewarding summer!
The Presidential Service Award
The Presidential Service Award is issued on behalf of the President of the United States to recognize individuals that have demonstrated outstanding volunteer service and civic participation in helping to improve the lives of other people. The award is a way to thank and honor individuals who, through their commitment and passion, also inspire others to volunteer. Recognizing and honoring these individuals inspires us all to get involved.
The hours earned at your Rein Community Service summer program can be applied towards the Presidential Service Award. Your earned hours can help you achieve the 100-hour minimum to qualify for this award. Rein Community Service is an authorized organization for certifying volunteer hours and can approve successful candidates for Presidential recognition. Please contact the Rein office to find out more about the application process for the Presidential Service Award.
